The Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains held their 2010 Annual Meeting at Bears Den Trail Center on October 24th. The weather was glorious, and the mountains and valley views were spectacular in all their fall glory. Everyone enjoyed the hearty homemade chili and cornbread. John Maxey accepted the annual award on behalf of the Jefferson County Planning Commission. Chorus of the Old Dominion brought our evening to a rousing close. It was quite an evening! If you couldn't make it this year, we look forward to seeing you at next year's meeting.
