A Bold Initiative:
Blue Ridge Conservation Corridor

To address the threats facing the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia and a small portion of the West Virginia panhandle, the Friends of the Blue Ridge and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) are partnering to embark upon a bold initiative. Together, Friends of the Blue Ridge and NWF will coordinate a coalition of non-profit organizations to create a Conservation Corridor along the most threatened stretch of the Blue Ridge: the section from Interstate 66 in Virginia (Fauquier County) across Loudoun and Clark Counties in Virginia, down to Harpers Ferry, in Jefferson County, West Virginia, where the range reaches the Potomac River.
